Cutting and folding cards

Cut escort and place cards cleanly along the crop marks and fold tent cards along the dotted line. Tips for a neat, fast result.

Escort and place cards come several to a sheet, with small crop marks outside the cards.

Cutting

  1. Line up a ruler or paper trimmer with two matching crop marks on opposite sides of the sheet.
  2. Cut all the way across. Do all the long cuts first, then the short ones.
  3. A paper trimmer or a craft knife with a metal ruler gives the cleanest edges. Scissors work for a few cards.

Folding tent cards

  1. Score along the dotted line first: run the back of a butter knife or an empty ballpoint pen along a ruler.
  2. Fold along the score with the printing on the outside.
  3. Press the fold flat with the side of a ruler.

The back of a folded place card is printed upside down on the sheet. That is on purpose: once folded, both sides read the right way up.

Setting the tables? Place cards are sorted table by table and seat by seat, so you can walk around each table in order.
